Volunteers are an integral part of our community at the Haven. We greatly value the unique contribution that each of our volunteers bring to the Haven. We aim to build an inclusive community, where everyone is valued and respected. Views the Haven as her neighbourhood and community. She volunteers to gain confidence, keep up her skills and to meet people in her local community.
Rachel takes orders,clears tables, uses the dishwasher and operates the till.
She's made friends, gained confidence and increased her self esteem.
Volunteers at the Haven to gain social skills and confidence. Kaden prepares food, serves and cleans the kitchen. Whilst volunteering he also has fun with the other volunteers and staff.
He has gained confidence and social skills, he is learning to multi task, to prepare food and to use the barista coffee machine.
Volunteers at the Haven to get out of the house and meet people which has built his confidence. Dean enjoys being front of house taking customers orders, clearing tables and taking customers their food and drink. He’s learnt lots of new skills since volunteering at the Haven.

Volunteering Opportunities include
Serving customers in our community coffee shop
Preparing light snacks and hot drinks
Mentoring some younger or vulnerable volunteers with additional needs
Befriending (chatting and listening to service users who are alone)
Assisting /Facilitating activity groups
